Spring Camping Coordinator

Role Summary

The Spring Camping Coordinator plans Pack 232’s spring camping trip, providing Scouts with an outdoor camping experience as the weather warms up. This may be a tent campout or cabin trip depending on the year.

Works with Cubmaster, Grubmaster (Assistant Cubmaster), Equipment Coordinator

Core Responsibilities

  • Select and reserve a campsite appropriate for Cub Scout families
  • Plan the weekend program in coordination with the Cubmaster
  • Coordinate food planning with the Grubmaster
  • Ensure at least one BALOO-trained adult is attending
  • Communicate event details to families: dates, cost, packing list, logistics
  • Collect registration fees (coordinate with Treasurer)
  • Manage headcount and confirm attendance
  • Ensure health forms and consent forms are collected for all participants
  • Plan for spring weather variability (rain plans, layering guidance)
