Scout Awards Coordinator

Role Summary

The Scout Awards Coordinator tracks and purchases awards, badges, and insignia for Pack 232 Scouts, and prepares award packages for recognition ceremonies at pack meetings. This role works closely with the Advancement Chair to ensure every Scout receives timely recognition.

Core Responsibilities

  • Monitor Scoutbook for completed adventures and rank advancements reported by den leaders
  • Purchase badges, belt loops, pins, and rank patches from the Twin Rivers Council Scout Shop or authorized vendors
  • Prepare award packages for each pack meeting (sorted by den, with ceremony cards if applicable)
  • Maintain an inventory of commonly needed awards to avoid last-minute purchases
  • Keep all purchase receipts and submit them to the Treasurer
  • Coordinate with the Advancement Chair on which awards are needed before each pack meeting
  • Track the awards budget and flag when it is running low
