Overview
Community visibility events are opportunities to show the pack’s presence and recruit new Scouts. The Public Relations Coordinator identifies, coordinates, and supports pack participation in these events.
Key Visibility Events
Bethlehem Activities Fair
An annual activities fair where community organizations — including Pack 232 — set up booths to connect with families.

- Goal: Sign up interested Scouts; collect contact info for follow-up
- What to bring: Pack 232 table cover/banner, sign-up sheets, recruitment brochures, BSA promotional materials, pack info sheets, tablet for digital sign-ups, uniformed Scouts (best advertisement)
- Follow up: Share contact list with Membership Chair within 24 hours of event
Community Parades and Events
Pack 232 may march in or participate in community events (parades, school events). The Public Relations Coordinator:
- Identifies opportunities and brings them to the Committee Chair
- Coordinates Scout and leader participation
- Ensures pack is represented professionally (uniforms, signs)
School Night for Scouting
While the Membership Chair leads school-night recruitment events, the Public Relations Coordinator supports by:
- Preparing fliers and promotional materials
- Ensuring Facebook event is posted
- Bringing branded materials (banner, pack info) to the event
Visibility Event Checklist
- Date confirmed; any registration or booth fee paid (coordinate with Treasurer)
- Table/booth location confirmed
- Pack banner/tablecloth, promotional materials prepared
- Sign-up sheets or digital intake form ready
- Uniformed Scouts and leaders recruited to attend
- Post on Facebook before and after the event
- Contact list shared with Membership Chair after event
