Leader Training & Awards Coordinator

Role Summary

The Leader Training & Awards Coordinator tracks and promotes training completion for all registered Pack 232 leaders. BSA requires specific training for each position, and a fully trained leadership team makes for a safer, more effective pack.

Works with Committee Chair, Cubmaster, all registered leaders

Core Responsibilities

  • Maintain a training status tracker for all registered adult leaders
  • Verify that every leader has completed required training for their position (YPT + position-specific)
  • Send reminders when YPT is approaching its 2-year expiration
  • Promote recommended training opportunities (BALOO, Roundtable, supplemental courses)
  • Share information about upcoming Twin Rivers Council training sessions
  • Report training status to the Committee Chair at each committee meeting
  • Encourage leaders to earn the Trained patch by completing all required modules
  • Support new leaders in navigating my.Scouting.org for online training
