Blue & Gold Coordinator

Role Summary

The Blue & Gold Coordinator plans Pack 232’s annual Blue & Gold Banquet — the pack’s birthday celebration and one of the most important events of the year. The banquet typically includes a dinner, advancement ceremonies, and special recognition.

Core Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute the annual Blue & Gold Banquet (typically February)
  • Secure the venue (often Glenmont Elementary gym or cafeteria)
  • Plan the dinner: catering, potluck, or coordinated food (coordinate with Snackmaster or food volunteers)
  • Coordinate with the Cubmaster on ceremony elements: advancement awards, special recognitions, guest speakers
  • Arrange decorations, table settings, and Blue & Gold theming
  • Manage RSVPs and headcount
  • Coordinate with the Treasurer on budget and fee collection
  • Recruit parent volunteers for setup, food service, and cleanup
  • Coordinate press coverage with the Public Relations Coordinator
