Email from Jeff Zemsky at start of 2025:

As we look at the upcoming year I wanted to share a few thoughts on Membership

Recruiting materials - do you have any activities planned to drive membership? We have great resources available to kick your events up though the Council. You can reserve the inflatable archery range, Stick-it archery range, Stick-It hatchet range, pop-ups and table display kits. This gives us an easy way to add excitement and fun to any event. Council will also print tailored recruiting information with your unit information. To reserve you can use this link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfOuLDNnIydx0nTjW8p0QRUyn_90TMkePvOOnLEUxw8dpr25A/viewform Please remember to give Council time to prepare materials. Peer recruiting - One of the best ways to drive your unit growth is through your existing members. Having an activity where your scouts can invite friends to explore scouting is a proven way to bring new members to scouting. This could be an event like a movie night, game night or camp fire. Invite your youth to ask friends to come and find out about scouting. Be prepared to talk to the families about the fun and opportunities in Scouting - such as having a list of your upcoming activities and plans for summer camps and adventures! Member renewal - As we have transitioned to the new mechanism for renewing membership please take the time to check on your scouts and adults. The easiest way to do this is to look at the Members Due to Renew Report in My Scouting. You can find this under the Reports.

Have any membership questions or need help? Please let me know

Yours in Scouting, Jeff Zemsky
