Parents,

Just a quick reminder that Pack 232 will be holding our Fall Hike this Saturday, 9/20, at 3:00pm - the weather looks great! I will have the Pack t-shirts (Class B uniforms) at the Fall Hike. If you are a new scout family your scout can receive 1 free Class B shirt upon sign up. Additional shirts & adult shirts are $16 - cash or check.

If you and your Scout would like to attend the Twin Rivers Council (TRC) Monster Mashoree please, please, please RSVP now in Scoutbook. We are accepting reservations up to 9/29 but TRC has asked for preliminary numbers by 9/24. If possible please RSVP now. I have attached the Mashoree Leaders Guide for more information. There will be a TON of fun activities for everyone. This is a 2 night overnight event but you can attend for 1 night or just the day on Saturday if you want. Details are below.

Pack 232 Thacher Park Family Hike (Class B Uniform)

Weather permitting, please join the whole Pack for a fun family hike. We will be hiking the Escarpment Trail. Please make sure to dress appropriately and don’t forget the 6 essentials: first aid kit, water bottle, sun protection, snack, emergency whistle, & flashlight. We will meet in the visitor parking lot.

Twin Rivers Council Cub Harvest Festival (Optional non-Pack activity)

Cub Scout Harvest Festival is a Twin Rivers Council event. This is not a Pack organized event and Pack leadership will not be attending. However, individual scouts and parents are encouraged to attend.

All new and current Cub Scouts are invited to come join us for a fun filled weekend at Camp Wakpominee!! Enjoy camp and work on your outdoor adventures and what a great way to get new families at camp and see the adventure of Cub Scouts!! Camp for the weekend or come for the day on Saturday with your pack and meet new friends!

Target and range activities, Fishing, Knots, Nature walks, and Much MORE!! Dining hall prepared meals included!! Friday Night dinner/camp on your own - breakfast will be available in the morning.

October Pack Meeting (Class A Uniform)

Join Pack 232 at our October Pack meeting! We will be brushing up on our camping skills in preparation for the upcoming Monster Mashoree!

Committee Chair Josh McWilliams will be holding an informational Q&A for all parents/guardians.

Monster Mashoree - Twin Rivers Council Fall Camporee (Optional Event, Class B Uniform)

Friday October 10-12, 2025 Schaghticoke Fairgrounds 69 Stillwater Bridge Rd, Schaghticoke, NY 12154

Once every 2 years the Twin Rivers Council organizes a council camporee. This year’s theme is Monster Mash hence Monster Mashoree. The Mashoree will be held 10/10-10/12 at the Schaghticoke Fairgrounds. This event will pull in scouts from across the region and is a massive event that you don’t want to miss. Activities will include: Drone Show, Archery, BB gun shooting, Slingshots, Trade-O-Ree (think scout store but way bigger), Costume Contest, Face Painting, Magic the Gathering Tournament (for the Cubs too), RC Race Cars, Lego Pinewood Derby, Reptile Show, Planetarium, Video Game Trailer, Bounce Houses, Climbing Wall, NOVA Award Activities, Live Band, Movie, and more. There will not be enough time to experience it all!

The Pack will be organizing a cohort to attend this event. We will be camping Friday & Saturday night. The event registration is $55 per youth and $45 per adult. Registration includes admission, an event patch, a deck of Monster Mashoree Playing Cards, and all meals & coffee (Saturday night dinner will be Chicken BBQ provided by the event). The Pack will be organizing food for Saturday breakfast, lunch, and Sunday breakfast. There is a Saturday only day option available for $50 per youth and $40 per adult. This registration price includes the event registration and additional food not provided by the event.

Scouts will need a parent/guardian to attend with them. Limited camping supplies are available to borrow - let me know if you need something.

We will be registering for this event as a Pack. Regular price registration closes on 9/30. Please RSVP on Scoutbook no later than 9/29.
