Parents,
Good evening.
Pack 232 is looking forward to the Scoutapalooza this Sunday, 9/14, from 3-5pm. The event is going to be held at the Selkirk Fire House #2 located at 301 Glenmont Rd, Glenmont, NY, 12077. Please have your scout wear their class B uniforms (pack shirt or other scouting t-shirt).
We will have Pack 232 shirts at the Scoutapalooza. Each scout is entitled to receive 1 pack shirt upon enrollment. If your scout did not receive a shirt last year, please see Richard at the information tent. Additional youth and adult pack shirts are available for purchase. Shirts are $16 each. Please try to bring exact change or a check.
We will be using recycled materials for some of the Scoutapalooza activities. If you have any clean plastic takeout containers, bubble wrap, packing peanuts, or similar materials please bring them this weekend.
Weather permitting, we will be launching 2-liter bottle rockets. Please bring any clean 2-liter bottles that you can. Please, please, please make sure you rinse them out.
Cubby’s Closet will be available at the Scoutapalooza. Cubby’s Closet is a scout uniform and equipment exchange. If you have any old uniforms, hats, handbooks, adventure loops or pins, neckerchiefs, belts, etc. that your scout no longer needs please bring them to Cubby’s Closet. A Scout is thrifty!
Lastly, popcorn sales are in full swing! Pack 232 does not charge Pack dues. All Pack funding comes from popcorn sales. All returning scouts are asked to sell $300 in popcorn. For families with multiple scouts, we ask that you sell $450. For those families opting out of selling popcorn we ask for a $100 donation for a single scout or $150 per family with multiple scouts.
You can usually hit the fundraising goal by working one Show & Sell shift. Be on the look out for an invite to popcorn zoom meeting…
As always please contact me with any questions, comments, or concerns - or if you want to volunteer to help in some way!
See you all on Sunday,
