Cub Scout Pack 232 holds an annual Pinewood Derby in which Cub Scouts, working with their family, make a race car out of a block of pine wood. The Pack s Pinewood Derby wooden track needs to be replaced due to wear. Current estimates for a new and equivalent track along with accessories such as timers range from $4k-$5k. Pack 232 has been fundraising and saving funds over the past two years to purchase this new track. A grant will accelerate when we can purchase the new track. Give details on number of individuals affected (include ages of children): Cub Scout Pack 232 is composed of 59 registered youth members ranging in grades from kindergarten through 5th grade. Most attend the Glenmont Elementary School but there are members from Eagle Elementary, Elsmere Elementary and other schools.
