January 4, 2023 - Initial Booking

Shanna Schuster (USS Slater) confirmed booking for Saturday, May 6, 2023. A deposit from 2020 was credited to the event. Reservation form and overnight information provided.

Key policies:

  • Minimum 20 campers (can bring 10 but must pay for 20)
  • $100 deposit applied; final payment due 3 weeks prior
  • USS SLATER or DEHM must be listed as certificate holder on insurance

March 8, 2023 - Tour Options & Pricing

Kristen Crumb inquired about adding tour-only options for families not staying overnight.

Pricing confirmed:

  • Tour only: $7/adult, $5/child
  • Tour + educational programming + dinner (no overnight): $25/person
  • Overnight: $50/person

Initial headcount: 12 scouts and 10 adults for overnight.

April 24-28, 2023 - Finalizing Headcount

Kristen reached out to finalize numbers. Sign-up issues between Scoutbook, SignUpGenius, and Facebook complicated the count.

April 27: Josh McWilliam informed USS Slater they expected to finalize that evening. Kristen mentioned tracking down confirmations across multiple platforms.

April 28 - Final Count & Payment:

Kristen submitted updated totals:

  • Overnight: 16 adults & 23 youth
  • 25 patches, 5 dog tags

Final cost: $1,987.00

  • 16 adults & 23 youth overnight = $1,850
  • 1 tour + program + dinner = $25
  • 1 adult & 1 child tour only = $12
  • 25 patches = $75
  • 5 dog tags = $25

USS Slater requested immediate payment to order food and make dog tags in time.
