Cub Scout Pack 232 of Glenmont, NY has over 50 registered children from kindergarten through grade 5. Every year, the Cub Scouts, with help and guidance from their parents or guardians, build a Pinewood Derby race car from a block of pine wood. It is one of the highlights of their scouting year, given they get to design their race car, cut it out from the block of wood, sand it, paint it, attach the wheels, and most importantly, race their car against their friends’ cars. The Pack’s Pinewood Derby race car track and associated equipment has reached the end of their useful lives, so we have been fundraising for the past two years for their replacements. The estimated cost of the replacement track and associated equipment exceeds $4,000.

Cub Scout Pack 232 would like to request a grant of $250 towards this replacement track, but we would greatly appreciate anything that you can provide. Cub Scout Pack 232 is chartered by the Selkirk Volunteer Fire Company No. 2, and is part of the Twin Rivers Council of the Boy Scouts of America, Tax ID: 14-1340028.
