● Height cannot exceed 3 inches ● Ground clearance must be at least 3/8 inches ● Cars must have 4 wheels touching the track ● The official BSA wheels must be rigidly attached in those slots with the nails from the original kit. Wheels may be sanded to remove ridges, but they may not be tapered or narrowed. The rolling surfaces of all four wheels must touch the track. If only three wheels touch the track, or if only the wheel edges touch the track, this provides an unfair advantage, and cannot be permitted. No wheel modifications will be allowed, i.e., “thinning, tapering, holes, shaving, etc.” except as expressly stated to remove mold flash. “Lathe type” turning of the wheels is not allowed. All detail marks must remain visible on the entire wheel. ● Axels may not be moved from the original positioning as per PWD Kit (#17006) ● Wheel bearings, washers, and bushings are prohibited. ● Only dry lubricant may be used ● The car shall not ride on any springs ● The car must be free wheeling / No start devices ● No loose materials on the vehicle. If something falls off during the race it will be removed from the car permanently for the duration of the race. If a wheel falls off an attempt will be made to reattach by the district’s pit crew the day of the race. If it cannot be reattached then the car will be disqualified. Thank You! To all our Volunteers at Council , District and Pack Levels that make scouting possible. It is our hope that this is the only year we will have to do a virtual derby but, for now stay safe and stay scouting! Fort Orange Activities Committee
