Blue and Gold Planning Notes

  • Date/Time: Saturday, June 24, 5 PM to ~8 PM
  • Location: McGuire’s Residence, 173 Lawson Lake Road, Feura Bush, New York

Hot Air Balloon Rides

Confirmed - Scott Griswold, owner of Above All Balloon Rides (https://www.aboveallballoonrides.com/) will provide tethered balloon rides ascending 50 to 100’ in the air.

Kristen Crumb - Create Sign Up Sheets for Balloon Rides. Plan to organize 6 to 8 scouts per trip with one additional adult (1000 lb limit) for a three or four minute trip. Will need to create a group sign up for parents as they arrive and make sure transition of scouts on and off the balloon is smooth to avoid fuel waste. Target one hour based on weather conditions (stress in an email about weather conditions will dictate whether or not the hot air balloon can fly).

Activity Stations (Rhonda)

Rhonda has plan for activity stations for building a helium balloon/basket:
