Good Morning Parents,
Bethlehem Memorial Day Parade
The Bethlehem Memorial Day Parade is next Monday.
We’ll be meeting and lining up for the parade at the corner of Herber and Winding in Delmar at 10:40, step off for the parade begins at 11AM. For additional details on the parade route please see: https://www.townofbethlehem.org/Calendar.aspx?EID=4561
The parade will follow the normal route and end at the Veterans Memorial Park on Delaware Ave.
IMPORTANT: If you are not walking with your scout in the parade, parents must sign-in your scout with me and provide a contact # and authorized adult(s) for pick-up. Scouts MUST stay with a Den Leader or myself until confirmed that the parent/authorized adult has returned. You can join along the route. I will wait with any scouts awaiting pick-up at the end of the parade on the North side of Veterans Memorial Park next to the Rail Trail.
What to Know
- Class A Uniforms are expected - we want to promote our Pack and Scouting! Parents and other siblings that would like to walk are welcome; if you have a Class B t-shirt please show off your Pack spirit by wearing it.
- Scouts can hand out candy during the parade that you bring but REMEMBER a SCOUT IS CLEAN - please help your scouts to HAND OUT candy, do not throw it. The Town does not want to be responsible for litter pick-up. If you are planning to walk please consider bringing a small trash bag to help pick-up other people’s litter as we proceed on the parade route.
- Please check the forecast and prepare your scouts for the walk with appropriate footwear and a water bottle, sunscreen, and scout hat. Rain gear if necessary.
- We’ll have our Pack Flag, the American Flag, and our Pack banner to carry, switching amongst the scouts during the parade as necessary. I can use parents’ help in keeping the scouts carrying the banner straight.

Based on the number of attendees the Pack will look to help subsidize the cost. If you communicate that you and/or your scout are planning to attend you will be subject to the below fees unless otherwise subsidized.
- Cub Scout Regular Fee: $225 (Paid by June 1st)
- Adult Participant Fee: $90
Adults Attending Resident Camp
All adults attending Resident camp are required to complete BSA Youth Protection Training. YPT training is valid for two years from the date taken.
