  • Sleeping bag (Extra blankets are fine to supplement warmth of sleeping bag if necessary.)

  • Folding chair
  • Poncho or Rain suit (Inexpensive Wal-Mart special works just fine in a pinch.)
  • Insect repellent (No aerosol cans.)
  • Sunscreen (No aerosol cans.) and Sunglasses
  • Hat
  • Paper and pen
  • Flashlight (check batteries and bring extras) (Headlamp works best but handheld is fine, too.)
  • Mess Kit – (a plastic bowl, plate and cup, plus fork and spoon work just fine.)
  • Water bottle (Plastic or metal; no glass.)
  • Hooded Sweatshirt
  • Wind Breaker
  • Pocket Knife - Only cub scouts who have earned their whittling chip (Bears, Webelos, and Arrow of Light) may carry a pocket knife
  • Socks x 2
  • Underwear x2
  • Short-sleeve shirt x2 (especially, the Pack 232 Class “B” T-shirt)
  • Shorts x2
  • Long pants or Sweatpants
